The Regal Cinema is marked by a pale yellow facade and clean, streamlined curves that define its Art Deco architecture. Opened on October fourteenth, nineteen thirty-three, the building stands on a site previously occupied by a British army saluting battery. It was designed by Charles Stevens, the son of the architect who created the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus.
