Bhonsale Ghat is defined by a large, imposing stone building that rises directly from the riverbank, featuring small, decorative windows near its roofline. Constructed in the late eighteenth century by the Maratha royal family of Nagpur, this structure represents a distinct contribution from Maratha rulers to the riverfront of Varanasi. The ghat is characterized by a blend of Maratha and Rajput architectural styles, standing between the Scindia and Mir Ghats along the Ganges.
