Blue Lassi Shop

The Blue Lassi Shop is a small, narrow space with walls painted a deep blue and covered in thousands of passport-style photographs, visiting cards, and handwritten notes left by travelers from around the world. Founded approximately seventy-five to ninety years ago by Pannalal Yadav, it sits in the dense, winding lanes leading toward Manikarnika Ghat. Originally a simple stall serving plain lassi to locals, it gained its current identity about forty years ago when a South Korean visitor suggested the name because of the striking blue paint on the walls.
