Villa Lea is marked by the name of the residence inscribed in Latin letters on its exterior wall. Completed in nineteen thirty-four, the building was commissioned by the Jerusalem lawyer Nasib Abkarius Bay as a private home for his wife, Lea Tenenbaum. Architects Dan and Raphael Ben Dor designed the structure in the International Style, combining the clean, modern lines of that movement with traditional Jerusalem stone.
