The Church of the Immaculate Conception, often called the Spanish Church or La Purísima, is identified by a clock tower that features a distinctive cupola. Located on Rue Es-Siaghine in the heart of the medina, this building occupies the site of the former Swedish legation, which had been established here in seventeen eighty-eight.
