Alchemia

Alchemia sits on the corner of Plac Nowy in the Kazimierz district, recognizable by its dusky, candlelit interior filled with mismatched antique furniture and worn sofas. Opened in nineteen ninety-nine, the venue occupies a series of small, interconnected rooms that feel less like a commercial bar and more like a collection of forgotten studies. It is widely credited with establishing the atmosphere that defines much of modern Kazimierz, moving away from polished interiors toward a darker, bohemian aesthetic.
