Muzeum Uniwersytetu Jagiellońskiego Collegium Maius

The Collegium Maius is recognized by its deep, shaded courtyard ringed with stone arcades and a central well. As the oldest surviving building of the Jagiellonian University, it dates back to the fourteenth century when King Władysław Jagiełło purchased the property to provide a home for the Krakow Academy. For centuries, professors lived and worked in the upper rooms while students attended lectures on the ground floor.
