Księgarnia pod Globusem is identified by the sculptural globe that crowns the corner tower of the historic building at the intersection of Basztowa and Długa streets. This bookstore occupies the ground floor of a structure originally built between nineteen oh four and nineteen oh six as the headquarters for the Chamber of Industry and Commerce. Designed by the architects Tadeusz Stryjeński and Franciszek Mączyński, the building stands as a landmark of Kraków’s Art Nouveau movement.
