MNK Sukiennice

The Sukiennice, or Cloth Hall, dominates the center of Kraków’s Main Market Square with its long, symmetrical arcade of Renaissance-style arches. Since the thirteenth century, this site has functioned as a marketplace, once drawing merchants from across Europe to trade in textiles, silks, and spices. While its exterior is lined with stalls selling traditional handicrafts, the building houses an extensive collection of nineteenth-century Polish art on its upper floor.
