Ogród Profesorski UJ

The Ogród Profesorski, or Professor’s Garden, is a quiet green space enclosed by the historic walls of the Jagiellonian University buildings. You can identify the entrance by the two stone halberdiers guarding the gate. First mentioned in fourteen sixty-seven, the garden originally occupied a much larger area, serving as a working orchard and vegetable plot for the professors of the Kraków Academy. By fourteen seventy-five, the site also included a poultry enclosure to supply the faculty refectories.
