The Dom Towarzystwa Przyrodniczego, also known as the Naturalists' House, is recognizable by the slender tower that rises against the side of the nearby Mariacka Gate. Built between fifteen ninety-seven and fifteen ninety-nine for the merchant Hans Köpe, it stands as a significant example of Dutch Mannerist architecture in Gdańsk. The building features an ornate facade and a distinctive multi-story bay window overlooking the Motława River, which originally served as both a residence and a warehouse for trade.
