Pub Modus Vivendi

The Pub Modus Vivendi sits behind a dark wooden door on the edge of the Plaza de Feixóo. Inside, the space is set within the former stone stables of an eighteenth-century country house known as the Pazo de Somoza. When the first owner, Antonio, opened the establishment in May nineteen seventy-two, he possessed only the upper level. During renovations, workers discovered a hollow wall that, once removed, revealed the original stables. This subterranean area, complete with stone arches and the animals' old stone water trough, now forms the lower level of the pub.
