The Mundaiz Bridge is recognizable for being the first in San Sebastián built without any supporting pillars rising from the bed of the Urumea River. Completed in two thousand, the structure spans the water to link the Egia and Amara neighborhoods. Its construction coincided with the broader redevelopment of the Federico García Lorca promenade, which sits on land previously owned by the national railway company, RENFE.
