Gipuzkoa Plaza

Gipuzkoa Plaza is a neoclassical square identifiable by its irregular rectangular shape and the uniform, porticoed buildings that surround it. Constructed between eighteen sixty-seven and eighteen eighty-two, the plaza sits on land that was once the outer defensive glacis beyond the city's old walls. It was the first public garden built in San Sebastián following the demolition of those fortifications.
