Zurriola zubia

The Zurriola Bridge, often called the Kursaal Bridge, is the first crossing over the Urumea River as it reaches the Cantabrian Sea. You can identify the structure by its tall, futuristic streetlights that look like chess pawns lining the walkway. Designed by engineer José Eugenio Ribera in the Art Nouveau style, the bridge opened in nineteen fifteen to connect the city center with the Gros neighborhood.
