The Unión Artesana, located on Calle Euskal Herria, is a cultural and gastronomic society with a history stretching back to May fourteenth, eighteen seventy. It formed in the aftermath of a fire that destroyed the headquarters of an earlier group called La Fraternal. Seventy-nine founders gathered to establish this new society, which now holds the title of the oldest popular society in San Sebastián.
