The Mosesbrunnen, or Moses Fountain, stands on Münsterplatz, defined by its central, brightly painted statue of the prophet Moses. He holds the tablets of the Ten Commandments and features two distinct, ray-like protrusions rising from his head. Constructed in fifteen forty-four and rebuilt in seventeen ninety-one after storm damage, the fountain sits on a Louis the Sixteenth style basin designed by Niklaus Sprüngli.
