The Matte-Plattform elevator, often called the Senkeltram by locals, is a glass-enclosed cabin that travels between the Münsterplattform terrace and the Badgasse in the Matte district below. It spans a vertical drop of thirty-one and a half meters, offering a passage that once replaced a strenuous climb for residents moving between the cathedral area and the riverside craft quarter.
