Barony Hall

Barony Hall is a striking Victorian Gothic building constructed from red sandstone. You can identify it by its prominent, solid massing and the soaring arches that define its interior. Originally built as the Barony Church and finished in eighteen eighty-nine, the structure replaced an earlier, decaying church that had served a congregation dating back to the sixteenth century. Architects John James Burnet and John A. Campbell designed the building to evoke the scale of cathedrals like Dunblane and Girona, incorporating architectural relics from the previous site.
