Glasgow Cathedral

Glasgow Cathedral is identifiable by its dark, looming stonework and the signature spire that rises above the skyline. It holds the distinction of being the only medieval cathedral on the Scottish mainland to survive the Reformation of fifteen sixty virtually intact. While other churches across the country were unroofed or destroyed, this building remains whole, a rare survivor of that era’s upheaval.
