Albany Mansions

Albany Mansions is a distinctive red sandstone tenement building on Renfrew Street in the Garnethill neighborhood. Completed in eighteen ninety-eight, it stands out for its ornate exterior, which features recessed doorways protected by cast-iron porch grilles and decorative balconies that overlook the street. The structure is one of several period buildings in this area that reflect the late nineteenth-century push to create dense, high-quality urban housing for Glasgow's growing population.
