McCovey Cove is the stretch of water directly beyond the right-field wall of Oracle Park. While its official geographical name is China Basin, where the mouth of Mission Creek flows into the San Francisco Bay, fans and sportswriters dubbed it for the Hall of Fame first baseman Willie McCovey.
