The Presidio Heritage Gallery occupies the rear of the Presidio Officers' Club, a structure recognizable by its Mission Revival aesthetic and low-slung, white-walled adobe architecture. This gallery serves as a primary interpretive space for the site, holding artifacts and multimedia displays that trace ten thousand years of human activity in the area. The collection spans the early period of the Indigenous Ramaytush Ohlone, the subsequent era of Spanish colonization starting in seventeen seventy-six, the Mexican period, and the long tenure of the United States Army.
