The Chart Room Cocktail Lounge is tucked away inside the Pier House Resort. It began in nineteen sixty-seven when the hotel’s owners realized their new motel lacked a place to drink, so they simply cleared out a single hotel room and installed a mahogany bar. The space remains intentionally dim and cramped, decorated with nautical memorabilia and vintage photographs that document the island’s history.
