Savannah City Hall

Savannah City Hall is easy to spot by the seventy-foot dome atop its facade, which has been covered in twenty-four-karat gold leaf since nineteen eighty-seven. Completed in nineteen oh six, the building was the first one ever constructed specifically to serve as the seat of Savannah's municipal government. It replaced the City Exchange, a structure that had stood on this same site since seventeen ninety-nine.
