Civic Garden is a one point seven-acre public park in the Main Street District of downtown Dallas, easily identified by the ten-foot-high hill that rises above its landscape. Before its opening in May two thousand twelve, this space functioned as a parking lot. It was designed to honor the journalists of The Dallas Morning News and the television station WFAA, both of which were owned by the A. H. Belo Corporation.
