The Renaissance Tower at twelve oh one Elm Street is recognizable for the distinct double-X pattern visible across its glass façade. Completed in nineteen seventy-four, the fifty-six-story building was originally a gold-tinted skyscraper known as the First International Bancshares Tower. It held the title of the tallest building in Dallas upon its opening, though it later underwent a comprehensive nineteen eighty-six renovation to refine its silhouette and competitive standing. This project replaced the exterior glass and added a broadcast center to the roof, increasing the structural height to eight hundred eighty-six feet.
