City Creek Park

City Creek Park is defined by a stone-lined stream that flows through a landscape of ponds and pedestrian paths. Opened in nineteen ninety-five, this park marked the first regional effort to daylight a waterway that had been buried in underground pipes for most of the twentieth century. The site formerly functioned as a surface parking lot until a public-private partnership between Salt Lake City and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints transformed the property into a public space.
