Hains & Co

Hains and Company is a bar on Gilbert Place easily identified by its wide, vertical bi-folding window that opens directly onto the footpath. Opened in two thousand fifteen by Marcus Motteram, the space is designed with a distinct nautical theme that runs throughout its construction. The bar top itself is fashioned from a heavy, salvaged timber slab once part of the Largs Bay Jetty, while an industrial-sized anchor weighing over one ton, recovered from a naval ship named The Rushcutter, is displayed inside.
