Rundle Mall

landmark

Rundle Mall is a five hundred and twenty meter pedestrian strip in the center of Adelaide. You can identify the space by its car-free thoroughfare, which is lined with ornate nineteenth-century terraces and modern department stores. It opened in September nineteen seventy-six after Premier Don Dunstan ordered the closure of a western section of Rundle Street to vehicular traffic to accommodate the growing number of pedestrians.
