Fan Tan Alley is a narrow passage, measuring three to six feet in width and two hundred and forty feet in length, that connects Fisgard Street and Pandora Avenue. It is identifiable by its compact brick walls and arched entryways, distinguishing it from the surrounding city streets. The lane emerged between eighteen eighty-five and nineteen twenty as landowners constructed buildings along the main thoroughfares and filled the rear spaces with additional structures.
