Patton House

The house at seven hundred forty-three Vancouver Street is a two-and-a-half-storey Italianate residence that identifies itself through its modest wood-frame architecture. Built in eighteen ninety-two, it stands as one of six remaining houses from a group of eight originally constructed on the street. These structures were commissioned by British investor Hedley Chapman during a period of rapid speculative development in Victoria, with the construction handled by the local firm of Bishop and Sherborne.
