Beacon Hill Park

Beacon Hill Park covers nearly two hundred acres of land along the southern shore of Victoria, defined by its open meadows of native Garry oaks and camassia lilies. Long before its official designation as a park in eighteen eighty-two, the site was a location for Coast Salish people, who cultivated camas bulbs in the meadows and maintained a village at the base of the hill now known as Beacon Hill.
