The Tapa Bar is tucked into the narrow passage of Trounce Alley, marked by a neon sign that glows above the brick walkway between Government and Broad Streets. Since opening in nineteen ninety-six, this independent restaurant has focused on serving small, shareable plates of Spanish-inspired cuisine. When it first began operations, the concept of tapas—small, flavorful dishes meant to be shared—was still an uncommon dining format in Victoria.
