Quebec City Mural

The Fresque des Québécois is a vast, four hundred and twenty square meter trompe l'oeil mural that covers the side of the Maison Soumande on Rue Notre-Dame. It uses painted illusions of balconies, stairways, and windows to depict a layered scene of the city’s history. Unveiled in October nineteen ninety-nine, the artwork spans four hundred years of local heritage, from the age of colonial exploration to the modern era.
