The Claire-Martin Library is recognizable by its neo-Gothic stone architecture and the eight-bell carillon fixed to the top of its tower. Located on Rue Saint-Jean, this building stands at the edge of an urban park that served as the Saint Matthew cemetery for nearly a century, housing the remains of many figures from the city’s early anglophone community.
