Harju Street in Tallinn is recognizable for the distinct shift in architecture that occurs just steps away from the Town Hall Square. While the rest of the Old Town maintains its dense, medieval character, Harju Street widens and features larger, modern-style buildings. This change in topography marks the path of destruction from the bombing raids of March nineteen forty-four.
