The Issy-les-Moulineaux Heliport is marked by its expansive, seven-and-a-half-hectare grass field located just south of the Parisian ring road. Once a vast military parade ground, the site served as the cradle of world aviation in the early twentieth century, drawing pioneers like Louis Blériot and Henri Farman to test their experimental flying machines. When the French military needed to clear the Champ de Mars near the Eiffel Tower in eighteen ninety, they moved their maneuver exercises here, unintentionally creating one of the most significant testing grounds for early flight.
