Square des Deux-Nèthes

landmark

The Square des Deux-Nèthes is a long, narrow green space distinguished by a sloping lawn and a series of paths that connect to the quiet, cobblestoned alleys nearby. It opened in two stages between two thousand three and two thousand five, occupying land that was once filled with dilapidated buildings and small, tightly packed houses. The park takes its name from the neighboring Impasse des Deux-Nèthes, which commemorates a French department that existed during the First Empire in what is now Belgium.
