The Pavillon Vendôme is distinguished by its primary façade, where two monumental stone atlantes, sculpted as allegories of Dawn and Dusk, stand to frame the entrance and support the balcony above. Built between sixteen sixty-five and sixteen sixty-seven, this Provençal classical residence was commissioned by Louis de Mercœur, Duke of Vendôme and grandson of King Henry the Fourth.
