The Heinrich Heine Antiquariat occupies a space at number nine Citadellstraße that once functioned as the Thoelen bakery. The founders, Stephan Lustenberger and Christoph Schäfer, opened the shop on February seventeenth, nineteen ninety-one, exactly one hundred thirty-five years after the death of the poet Heinrich Heine. Transforming the former bakery required extensive structural changes, including the removal of three garages to create the storefront.
