The GALERIA on the Königsallee is distinguished by its grand, historic facade, which dates back to nineteen hundred and nine. Originally built as the Tietz department store, the structure was designed by the architect Joseph Maria Olbrich. While the interior of the building has been modernized to house a contemporary retail space, the exterior masonry preserves the original architectural elegance that defined this corner of the boulevard early in the twentieth century.
