Bey Hamam (Paradise Baths)

The Bey Hamam, also known as the Paradise Baths, is marked by a series of prominent domes and an ornate entrance that stands along Egnatia Avenue. Built in fourteen forty-four by order of Sultan Murad II, it is the oldest surviving Ottoman monument in the city and the largest bathhouse of its kind in Greece. The structure was specifically designed with two separate, non-communicating wings to accommodate men and women, each featuring the traditional sequence of cold, warm, and hot chambers.
