Oya House

The Oya Residence is defined by its substantial stone walls and imposing gate, which once served to delineate the property within the Kanazawa samurai district. As a rare, intact example of an Edo period samurai home, the structure retains its historical layout and garden, providing a sense of the architectural scale that defined the area when it was occupied by warriors serving the powerful Maeda Clan.
