Gyokusen-inmaru Garden is defined by a dramatic twenty-two-meter drop from its highest stone wall to the pond floor. This strolling garden, tucked within the grounds of Kanazawa Castle, features an intricate system of stone masonry known as the Shikishi-tanzaku-zumi pattern. These stones are arranged in staggered, rectangular tiers to resemble traditional poem-slips and colored paper cards, creating a steep, vertical landscape that integrates a cascading waterfall.
