Kasumiga-ike Pond

Kasumiga-ike Pond is a large, artificial body of water covering five thousand eight hundred square meters at the center of Kenrokuen Garden. You can identify it by its shallow depth, which keeps the water level low, and the way it acts as a reflective floor for the surrounding features, including the Kotoji-tōrō lantern and the Uchihashi-tei teahouse.
