The Gojikken Nagaya is a long, two-story wooden storehouse recognizable by its white walls patterned with square namako-kawara tiles and a heavy roof covered in lead tiles. Its name translates to the fifty-ken long house, referencing its length of roughly ninety meters. The building was originally designed as a defensive warehouse to protect the castle's Ninomaru area, featuring lattice windows for guns and stone-dropping ports to repel attackers.
