Nomura-ke Samurai Heritage Residence

The Nomura-ke Samurai Heritage Residence is recognizable by the traditional ochre-colored earthen walls that enclose its property, a defining feature of the Nagamachi Samurai District. This estate was once the home of the Nomura family, who served as high-ranking retainers responsible for horseback security for the Maeda clan beginning in the late sixteenth century.
