Calle Belosticalle is one of the seven historic parallel streets that form the original medieval core of Bilbao, known as the Casco Viejo or Zazpikaleak. These streets, which date back to the fourteenth century, are narrow and densely packed, traditionally serving as the primary commercial and social backbone of the city. While the first three streets were established when the town was founded in thirteen hundred, Belosticalle and its neighbors were added a century later to accommodate a growing population within the city walls.
