The Esperantza Pilotalekua in Bilbao is a modern, five-story building that houses an indoor court for Basque pelota, identifiable by its specialized walls and court floor located directly above the Zazpikaleak-Casco Viejo metro station. This site replaces an older court that stood here until two thousand fifteen, when it was demolished to provide heavy machinery access for the construction of the metro’s third line.
